"There is no need to over power when you can out smart."
Phil Jackson
From my time at Mason, what I take with me more than anything else, is the learning experience of having to practice, live, and share most of the hours in a day with people from so many different places. Having to share everything with people from different cultures and backgrounds and sometimes, even another point of view on volleyball, made the experience more exciting.
During my four years as a volleyball player at Mason, the team had players from Canada, Brazil, Puerto Rico, Poland, Scotland, Serbia and Montenegro, Trinidad and Tobago, Australia, Argentina, and from several different states within the United States.
My volleyball career at Mason was more than I ever expected it to be. The following newspaper articles summarize some of the highlights of those years
